Andolini’s Pizzeria – Cherry Street Location Opens This Week!

Andolini's Pizzeria

This morning I went to my very favorite salon, Ihloff Salon, and heard many raves from the staff about the soft opening of Andolini’s Pizza on Cherry Street.  It sounded so delicious I immediately picked up my husband and made the quick drive to Owasso for lunch.  The concept of Andolini’s was created by two brothers with the simple motto not to skimp on quality ingredients and make everything fresh such as their own sausage and even smoking their own mozzarella.  The result is pure heaven.

Garlic Knots

We decided to start with a couple appetizers, the the first being the infamous Garlic Knots ($6).  The garlic knots were just plain ridiculous.  Ridiculously good that is.  Small knots of fried savory beignet heaven dripping with butter, garlic and parmesan cheese.  My husband gobbled up the whole bowl leaving me just a couple bites here and there.

Caprese Antipasto

The second appetizer we tried was a half order of the Caprese Antipasto ($6) which consists of tomato slices, fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, kalamata olives, thick cut prosciutto, grilled portabello, marinated artichokes, and Pecorino Romano all topped with a sweet balsalmic glaze.  I loved it because I like to have a little taste of everything and this definitely does the job.

Upper East Side

We couldn’t decide on just one pizza either (yes, there was only two of us) so we decided to order two.  No problem as they’ll make wonderful leftovers for breakfast, lunch or dinner.  The first pizza we decided on was my choice, the Upper East Side ($18).  Roasted garlic infused olive oil, Brie, toasted walnuts, and honey glaze topped with fresh Granny Smith apples.  This type of pizza is like a dream come true for me.  I really enjoy sweet and savory combinations and this hit the mark.  The creamy brie, with the garlicky oil, crunchy walnuts, honey glaze and crisp granny smith apples makes for a pizza worthy of the hoity toity Upper East Side.

Santino Colazione

Eric decided he wanted to try Santino Colazione ($17) which is a pie topped with Pancetta, Parmesan, chives, sage sausage, Canadian bacon, red onions, mozzarella, and egg.  Yes, the pizza is topped with runny eggs and it’s the most delicious breakfast-like pizza you could dream of.  We also really enjoyed the sausage as the sage flavor shined through.  It’s the little things and the innovations that really make Andolini’s a cut above the rest.

World Champs!

I really don’t like Guy Fieri but whenever he really enjoys a diner, drive-in or dive he says “it’s out of bounds” and that’s what comes to mind with Andolini’s Pizzeria.  I love the unique pizza creations and the fact that everything they use is fresh.  That’s what a mom and pop restaurant should be all about and that’s why we love them.  I can’t wait for the Cherry Street location to open – you’ll most definitely see me there.

Andolini’s is located @ 12140 E. 96th St. Owasso, OK 74055 & 2nd location opening soon @ 1552 E 15th St, Tulsa, OK 74120
