Kim's Donuts

Every day I go to work I drive by a little donut shop on Lewis called Kim’s Donuts.  Being the donut connoisseur that I am, I have been targeting this location as a place to be reviewed in the near future.  Today is the day that “The Lowdown on Donuts” meets Kim’s Donuts.  Today was a good day.

Cinnamon Roll, Old Fashioned, Original Glazed

This morning I went for my standard regular glazed, cinnamon roll, and old fashioned glazed.  The regular glazed was quite impressive and it was actually the best I’ve had at a “Mom and Pop” shop in Tulsa.  There was a nice crisp to the creme and the dough was light and fluffy.  The cinnamon roll was a little heavy on the glaze, but had good cinnamon and sugar distribution running throughout.  The old fashioned glazed was a little less impressive and truly, I wasn’t motivated to take more than two bites from it.

Kim’s Donuts offers up a great selection of donuts and sausage rolls, with bottled refreshments to boot.

Let the quest continue.
